What does MOMS Club® do?
We typically meet during the day, when at-home moms most need activities and support, and kids are always welcome. When the weather's nice, we do park days, kid-friendly walks and hikes. In the winter, we do playdates in members' homes, indoor play areas, café chats, book club, and field trips (fire station, horse farms, post office, movie theater, pumpkin patch, etc.). MOMS Club® also seeks opportunities to benefit the community, whenever possible.
Is there a fee for MOMS Club®?
Dues are $25 per year and go toward our chapter's international dues, web hosting, community outreach, and snacks/supplies for special events.
Are my kids welcome at MOMS Club® events?
Yes! Except for a monthly moms night out, activities are during the day and children are welcome and not separated from their mothers.
Is MOMS Club® affiliated with any political or religious organizations?
No. We are a non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization. Our only mission is to offer support to moms and their children.
I feel nervous about joining... can I check out an event before committing to the membership?
Yes! You may attend up to two events before becoming a member if you're hoping to make sure we're a good fit for you and your family's needs. If this is the case, please message us on Facebook or send us an email and we will provide you with event details.
What do I get with my membership?
You have access to our private Facebook group (where all of our events are listed) so you can attend events and easily connect with the friends you meet through MOMS Club®. When you join, you will also receive a New Member Packet filled with helpful resources.
Do I have to be an "at-home mom" to participate?
The original intended purpose of MOMS Club® was to support at-home moms, but any mom who is looking for activities and a support system is welcome!
Do I have to attend a certain number of events?
No. You can attend as few or as many events as fits your schedule. The more you attend, the more you will get to know other members, and the more you will get out of MOMS Club®.
Do I have to be a resident of Rapid City to join?
Rapid City is our "home base," but our chapter includes Rapid City, Summerset, Black Hawk, Box Elder, and Ellsworth AFB. If you live outside of those areas, we have a process for considering out-of-territory members.
